When I switch to patch 2.01 using the "2.02 patchSwitcher", the game requires me to have a cd mounted. I mount theSmokingMan's .mds thing (which is in the same folder as the .mdf) using winCDemu and the game still says "please insert disc".
On Windows 10 the location is at: C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) Run the lotrbfme_inst.exe file. If you don't have that file in your game folder then download and move the following exe file to your game folder. Run the exe file in the game folder.
Experience a time before Frodo, Bilbo, and Gandalf in the "Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II - The Rise of the Witch-king" PC video game. Thus, I use a hotkey for each one like Ctrl + 3, Ctrl + 4 Ctrl + 5, and Ctrl + 6. The Goblin Warriors shortcut is "W", so if you just hit Number 3 and then W on the keyboard you manage to recruit a unit. Keep doing this for all Goblin Caves by pressing 4 + W, 5 + W, and 6 + W, and you will train units quickly from all Goblin Caves while
I read somewhere about an "unofficial" launcher, but looking in the installation folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king" the only additional launcher appears to be new_launcher.exe, but running that does not launch the application. Forum Guidelines ·. ROTWK Cd Images - posted in BFME2 & RotWK Modding: Well I have been trying for several hours now and it seems that nothing is working. Using Daemon Tools Lite I was able to make a DT virtual drive and put the BFME 2 .mds and .mdf files in it. This allowed me to start the game without it asking me to insert the correct CD-ROM.
After installing the game you can use the same program to mount the BFME2 mini image. The BFME2 mini image consists of two files "MI-BFME2.mds" and "MI-BFME2.mdf". You need to have both files and then use WinCDemu to mount the MI-BFME2.mds. When MI-BFME2.mds is mounted you can start the game. Mitson_Malak • 2 yr. ago.
